Why this issue matters
The unstoppable monster that beat Superman to death a few issues later in Superman #75. The single fist punching out of a cell in Man of Steel #17 is the cameo collectors chase, and #18 is the first full appearance, still bound in a green containment suit. Both are slabbed and priced separately, so know which one you are buying.
