Comic buyer in Birmingham
Sell your comics
in Birmingham.
Get a fair, honest valuation from Lee, a lifelong collector who buys collections right across the UK. I am based on Teesside rather than in the Midlands, and I would always rather tell you that than pretend otherwise, but Birmingham is a city I rate: it has quietly held onto more comics history than most people give it credit for. I buy Marvel, DC, vintage and modern across Birmingham and the West Midlands, with free insured collection either way.
We buy comic collections in Birmingham
Whether you are in the city centre, Digbeth, Moseley, Kings Heath, Edgbaston, Sutton Coldfield or out into Solihull and the wider West Midlands, selling your comics to me works the same way and costs you nothing. Send a few photos, get an honest offer based on real current prices, and I sort collection or a free insured postal valuation, whichever suits. Being outside the Midlands makes no difference to the number I can pay you.
Birmingham's comics roots run deeper than people think
Birmingham does not shout about it, but it has genuine comics heritage. Nostalgia & Comics opened here in 1976 and is one of the oldest comic shops in the country, still trading today on Smallbrook Queensway under the Worlds Apart name. If you or a relative built a collection in this city from the late seventies onward, there is a fair chance a good part of it came through that shop's doors.
Go back a little further and Birmingham was, in one historian's words, a fulcrum of the British underground comics scene in the 1970s. The Birmingham Arts Lab and its Ar:Zak press put out small-press and alternative comics that mattered nationally, and the city gave the medium real creators too: Mark Farmer and Steve Pugh, both born here, went on to draw for Marvel, DC and 2000 AD. On the modern side, MCM Comic Con fills the NEC every year and pulls collectors in from across the country.
All of which is a long way of saying: as the UK's young, restless second city, Birmingham is full of collections, built up over decades and now sitting in lofts and spare rooms across the West Midlands. If that sounds like yours, I would genuinely love to take a look.

Why sell to Retro Relics Comics?
Most ways of selling comics in Birmingham mean a shop offering a fraction of value, or a buyback site that cannot tell a key issue from a reprint. Retro Relics is different: every offer comes from live Whatnot and eBay sold data, so you get a genuine current price, not a lowball guess.
You also deal directly with Lee, a real collector who knows the books, rather than a faceless buying team. Being based in the North East rather than the Midlands changes none of that: the valuation is the same, the collection is free and insured, and your comics are treated with the respect they deserve.
