Comic buyer in Glasgow
Sell your comics
in Glasgow.
Get a fair, honest valuation from Lee, a lifelong collector who buys across the whole of the UK. Glasgow is not my home turf, I will be straight with you about that, but it is a city I have real respect for as a collector, because few places in Britain have given comics more. I buy Marvel, DC, vintage and modern collections right across Glasgow and Scotland, with free insured collection so the distance is never your problem.
We buy comic collections in Glasgow
Whether you are in the West End, the Southside, the city centre, the East End or out into East Renfrewshire and Lanarkshire, selling your comics to me works the same way and costs you nothing. Send a few photos, get an honest offer based on real current prices, and I sort collection or a free insured postal valuation depending on what suits you. Being based on Teesside rather than in Glasgow changes nothing about the price you get, and my collection network covers the whole of Scotland.
Glasgow has given comics more than almost anywhere
This is the part I genuinely love about Glasgow. It is not just a city with a comic scene, it arguably started the whole medium. The Glasgow Looking Glass, lithographed in the city in 1825, is widely credited as the world's first comic magazine: it ran sequential picture strips, used speech bubbles, and even printed the words "To be continued" years before Punch existed. The thing in your hands when you read a comic began, in large part, in Glasgow.
And the city never stopped. Glasgow sits at the heart of what people in the industry actually call the "Scottish invasion" of American comics. Frank Quitely, who trained at the Glasgow School of Art and cut his teeth in the local underground title Electric Soup, went on to draw All-Star Superman and We3, and was honoured with a solo show at Kelvingrove and a doctorate from the University of Glasgow. Grant Morrison, born in the city, started with a strip in the Govan Press before reshaping Batman, Superman and X-Men. Mark Millar, from just along the road in Coatbridge, gave the world Kick-Ass and Kingsman. That is an astonishing amount of modern comics history from one small corner of Scotland.
What that means for you is simple: Glasgow is a city of serious collectors, and serious collections. Books bought from the city's shops, marts and cons over decades are sitting in lofts and spare rooms all over Greater Glasgow. If that sounds like yours, I would genuinely love to take a look.

Why sell to Retro Relics Comics?
Most ways of selling comics in Glasgow mean a shop offering a fraction of value, or a buyback site that cannot tell a key issue from a reprint. Retro Relics is different: every offer comes from live Whatnot and eBay sold data, so you get a genuine current price, not a lowball guess.
You also deal directly with Lee, a real collector who knows the books, rather than a faceless buying team. Being in England rather than Scotland makes no difference to that: the valuation is the same, the collection is free and insured, and your comics are treated with the respect they deserve.
