Comic buyer in Hull
Sell your comics
in Hull.
Get a fair, honest valuation from Lee, a lifelong collector who buys across the whole of the UK. I have a lot of time for Hull, a city that famously does things its own way, right down to the cream phone boxes, and its comics story is better than most people realise. I buy Marvel, DC, vintage and modern collections across Hull and East Yorkshire, with free collection either way.
We buy comic collections in Hull
Whether you are in the city centre, west Hull, east Hull, Cottingham, Hessle, Beverley or anywhere across East Yorkshire, selling your comics to me works the same way and costs you nothing. Send a few photos, get an honest offer based on real current prices, and I sort collection or a free insured postal valuation, whichever suits.
The Hull childhood behind 2000 AD
Here is the bit of comics history Hull does not shout about enough: Pat Mills, the man who co-created 2000 AD, the godfather of British comics, grew up in west Hull, and he credits the city's libraries with sparking his love of stories. The comic that gave Britain Judge Dredd traces a line straight back to a Hull childhood. That thread never snapped either: Mills's independent sci-fi comic Spacewarp features a cluster of Humber-region artists, with Hull's own Gareth Sleightholme painting covers and Mike Donaldson drawing strips. The talent is still here.
The city holds its own on the ground too, with comic shops trading in the centre for years and Hull's comic cons packing out the Allam Sport Centre. For the UK City of Culture 2017, a place that queues 800,000 deep for Hull Fair every October, turning out for comics is just another Saturday.
A city that does things its own way
Hull is the only city in Britain that was never served by BT, it built its own phone network instead, which is why the phone boxes are cream instead of red. I mention it because it says something true about the place: Hull backs its own judgement. So here is mine, offered straight: collections built over decades are sitting in lofts from Cottingham to Hessle, and the honest way to sell one is a real price from real sold data, not a guess from a general dealer. Send me a few photos and judge the offer for yourself.

Why sell to Retro Relics Comics?
Most ways of selling comics in Hull mean a shop offering a fraction of value, or a buyback site that cannot tell a key issue from a reprint. Retro Relics is different: every offer comes from live Whatnot and eBay sold data, so you get a genuine current price, not a lowball guess.
You also deal directly with Lee, a real collector, rather than a faceless buying team. The valuation is honest, the collection is free, and your comics are treated with the respect they deserve.
