Sell your comics
in Liverpool.

Get a fair, honest valuation from Lee, a lifelong collector who buys collections across the whole of the UK. I will not pretend to be a Scouser, but few English cities have a comics CV like Liverpool's, and it has always been a proper collector town. I buy Marvel, DC, vintage and modern across Liverpool and Merseyside, with free insured collection so where you are is never the problem.

We buy comic collections in Liverpool

Whether you are in the city centre, Wavertree, Woolton, Allerton, Walton, Crosby or over the water on the Wirral, selling your comics to me works the same way and costs you nothing. Send a few photos, get an honest offer based on real current prices, and I sort collection or a free insured postal valuation, whichever suits you best. Being based on Teesside rather than on Merseyside changes nothing about the price you get.

Liverpool's comics CV is genuinely world-class

Here is the fact that ought to make any Liverpool collector sit up. Two of the most important comics of all time, Watchmen and Batman: The Killing Joke, were coloured by John Higgins, who was born in Walton. The look of two books that changed the medium came out of this city. Higgins is still going strong on 2000 AD, and Liverpool honoured him with a retrospective at the Victoria Gallery and Museum.

He is not alone. Dave Taylor, born in Liverpool and trained at its art school, has drawn Batman and Judge Dredd; Tim Quinn, another Liverpudlian, wrote for Marvel UK for years. And the city turns out for comics in huge numbers: Comic Con Liverpool takes over the Exhibition Centre on the waterfront twice a year and has pulled crowds well past forty thousand, while collectors and dealers have met at Golden Orbit's long-running comic and sci-fi fair at The Liner Hotel, just off Lime Street, for decades.

For a city already named England's first UNESCO City of Music, a deep collecting culture fits right in. All of which means Merseyside is full of real collections, built up over years and now sitting in lofts and spare rooms across the city. If that sounds like yours, I would genuinely love to take a look.

Why sell to Retro Relics Comics?

Most ways of selling comics in Liverpool mean a shop offering a fraction of value, or a buyback site that cannot tell a key issue from a reprint. Retro Relics is different: every offer comes from live Whatnot and eBay sold data, so you get a genuine current price, not a lowball guess.

You also deal directly with Lee, a real collector who knows the books, rather than a faceless buying team. Being based in the North East rather than on Merseyside changes none of that: the valuation is the same, the collection is free and insured, and your comics are treated with the respect they deserve.

"Amazing process from start to finish... prices he paid were better than anyone else I'd spoke to." - Damian Abel
