Sell your comics
in Middlesbrough.

Get a fair, honest valuation from Lee, and on this page there is no distance to explain away: Retro Relics is a Teesside business, and Middlesbrough is home. My eBay parcels literally go out marked Middlesbrough. That means no couriers and no waiting, just me, in person, usually within days. I buy Marvel, DC, vintage and modern collections across the Boro and the whole of Teesside.

We buy comic collections in Middlesbrough

Whether you are in Linthorpe, Acklam, Marton, Nunthorpe, Ormesby, North Ormesby or anywhere across the town, selling your comics to me is as local as it gets. Send a few photos, get an honest offer based on real current prices, and I will come to you, often the same week you get in touch. No postage, no packing, no risk.

The Boro takes comics more seriously than people think

Here is something most towns this size cannot say: Teesside University, right in the middle of town, runs full BA and MA degrees in Comics and Graphic Novels, one of the very few universities in the country that does, with staff who have worked for Marvel, DC and 2000 AD. Nigel Kitching, who wrote and drew great swathes of Sonic the Comic, teaches here. Students from all over the country come to Middlesbrough to learn how to make comics, which still makes me smile every time I drive past.

The town holds up its end on the ground too. Teesside Unleashed Comic-Con packs out the university students' union every year, and the Boro still has comics trading in its shops and markets. For a town built on steel, and I mean that literally, Dorman Long of Middlesbrough built the Sydney Harbour Bridge and the Tyne Bridge, with "Made in Middlesbrough" stamped on the plates, there is a lot of ink in the place these days.

And that means collections. Decades of them, in lofts and spare rooms from Linthorpe to Nunthorpe, bought from shops and marts and cons across the years. If one of them is yours, you will not find a buyer closer to home, because there is not one.

Why sell to Retro Relics Comics?

Most ways of selling comics in Middlesbrough mean a shop offering a fraction of value, or a buyback site that cannot tell a key issue from a reprint. Retro Relics is different: every offer comes from live Whatnot and eBay sold data, so you get a genuine current price, not a lowball guess.

You also deal directly with Lee, a Teesside collector, rather than a faceless buying team. This is my town: the valuation is honest, the collection is in person, and your comics are treated with the respect they deserve.

"Amazing process from start to finish... prices he paid were better than anyone else I'd spoke to." - Damian Abel
